I just wanted to start off by thanking you for sharing your incredible analysis with me. It was really helpful!
However, I do have a few doubts regarding the ROI calculation that you presented. I was hoping you could help me out with them.
1. Could you please let me know what the average donation size was and how you arrived at this figure? I'm also curious to know if there was any historical data or methodology behind it.
2. I was wondering if you used direct website links for donations or third-party landing pages like lead pages or Unbounce to conduct A/B tests for donation optimisation.
3. Lastly, I wondered if you considered monthly recurring donations in your campaign analysis or if it was solely focused on one-time donations. If so, what was the outcome of this strategy?
Thanks for reaching out and apologies on such a delayed response.
1. During this time which was a year long campaign we realised that the average donation size on digital was 1000-1200. We also had a minimum amount of 1000. If you do it 500 people were giving 500 too. So one needs to control things.
2. We used direct website page with FB objective of conversion. We also worked extensively and tested the donation page. We created specific donation pages for digital which taking bare minimum personal details. We also asked for smaller donation values as we realised digital is a game of quantity with lesser donation value.
3. We worked solely on one time donations. Reasons for not testing monthly in India - one RBI regulations on credit cards, more investment on monthly donors and returns are low something that the client noticed and finally the proposition for someone to give on a monthly basis was not strong.
4. daily 20-30% were failed donations and the client had a calling team for this purpose and this also started giving results.
